Forest, Falls & Shoreline

Keowee Falls sets aside about 20 miles of Lake Keowee shoreline for its residents, wrapped in roughly 2,500 acres of hardwood forest, creeks and cascading falls. In spring, the woods hold patches of rare Oconee Bells.

The feel is quieter and more wooded than the other lake clubs. From the golf course you see almost no homes, and the clubhouse porch looks over Falls Creek rather than a row of houses.

The land rises to about 1,200 feet, and summers average in the mid- to high-80s. About 10 miles of trails run inside the gates.

Seven Holes on Falls Creek

Jack Nicklaus opened his Signature course here in 2007. It covers about 160 acres of rolling, forested ground with big elevation changes, long par 3s, and Falls Creek crossing seven holes. Many Cliffs members call it the toughest of the seven courses.
