The Course

Where the Fairways Meet the Lake

Keowee Vineyards opened in 1999 as Tom Fazio's first course at The Cliffs. He routed it through tree-lined fairways, ravines and coves, saving the lake for the holes that matter most.

It is a long-time member favorite, and Golf Digest has listed it among the best courses in South Carolina. The finish is the draw: a long par-3 17th over the water and an 18th that ends below the clubhouse porch.

Design & Layout

Lake, Mountains & Forest

Eight Holes on the Lake

Eight holes play directly along Lake Keowee, with fairways that bend around coves tucked in from the open water.

Mountain Backdrop

Five holes frame long views of the Blue Ridge, and most tees and greens catch the mountains somewhere on the horizon.

Next to the Forest

Five holes run beside Sumter National Forest, so ravines and hardwoods do much of the framing.

Wide Tee Range

Tees run from about 4,000 yards to just under 7,000, with slope ratings from 105 to 152 so every level of player has a fair set.
